Amsterdam …A city you don’t visit—you ease into!

Every summer, I watch the same thing happen: travelers wait too long, pay too much, and end up at the same overcrowded destinations they were trying to escape.

The travelers who get the best experiences aren’t necessarily going to more exotic places, they’re just making smarter decisions earlier. The lesson I keep coming back to: the “hidden gem” is rarely about geography. It’s about timing, strategy, knowing what questions to ask before you book, and of course, using a travel advisor 😉

This week i am featuring Amsterdam for your Summer Vacation!

Forget the postcard version of Amsterdam. This summer, step into a softer, slower city — Where mornings unfold along silent canals, afternoons drift through creative enclaves, and evenings glow over the water with locals who know exactly where to go.

Instead of following the crowds into the city center, I want to guide you to neighborhoods like Jordaan at sunrise — Before the cafés fill and the streets wake up.

  • Wander past flower-filled windows and tiny independent galleries.
  • Pause at a corner bakery where locals grab their morning coffee.
  • Let the canals feel like your own private Amsterdam.

This isn’t sightseeing — It’s belonging for a moment.

A free ferry ride behind Amsterdam Centraal Station takes you to a completely different energy.

Behind busy streets lie hofjes — Private historic courtyards most tourists walk right past.
